California Air Resources Board’s Heavy-Duty Advanced Technology Implementation Workgroup Meeting (12/11/2018)

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) and HVIP Team hosted a Heavy-Duty Advanced Technology Implementation Workgroup Meeting at the CalEPA building in Sacramento, CA. This workgroup meetin g was a forum and process to help CARB, industry, users and other stakeholders identify, discuss and prioritize key adoption barriers and work together to address solutions that can increase the deployment of medium- and heavy-duty advanced vehicle technologies in California. During this meeting, participants formed two technology breakout discussions: Low NOx Engines and Hybrid & Zero-Emission Technologies. The discussions focused on prioritizing top areas in need of action and identifying possible next steps, actions, and timeline. By the end of the workgroup meeting, the group outlined immediate and longer-term opportunities as well as action items and workgroup timelines.
