The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has funded $20.4 million for the Hybrid Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), aimed at accelerating California deployment of new hybrid medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. The HVIP will provide vouchers of $10,000 to $45,000 on a first-come, first-served basis for purchase of each eligible new hybrid truck or bus.
The program is open to all dealers who sell hybrid medium and heavy-duty trucks or buses in the state of California
and all fleets who operate in the state.
Dealers who wish to participate in the program must complete training to learn and understand the program terms
and conditions as well as roles and responsibilities of dealers, fleets, CARB, and CALSTART. Fleets are encouraged to learn more about the program.
