| DEALER TRAINING and VOUCHER MANAGEMENT |
| |
 |
For Fiscal Year 2010-2011, the California Air Resources Board (ARB) has provided $18 million in voucher funding for the Hybrid Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), aimed at accelerating the California deployment of new hybrid and zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty vehicles throughout the state. The HVIP provides vouchers of $10,000 to $30,000 on a first-come, first-served basis for the purchase of each eligible new hybrid or electric truck or bus.
The program is open to all dealers who sell hybrid medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks or buses in the state of California
and all fleets who operate in the state.
Dealers who wish to participate in the program must complete the HVIP dealer training to learn and understand the program terms
and conditions as well as roles and responsibilities of other stakeholders, such as fleets, ARB, and CALSTART. The dealer training process is explained below.
