The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District (SJVACPCD) has contributed $1.9 million in "plus-up" funding on top of the Year 3 HVIP funds. These funds are designated for any* vehicles which are used in the San Joaquin Valley Air Basin, which consists of eight counties in California’s Central Valley: San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare and the San Joaquin Valley Air Basin portion of Kern.
Vouchers requested for vehicles that will be domiciled in the air basin 100% of the time for three years will automatically receive the plus-up funding, which can reach up to $30,000 in additional funds per voucher on top of the ARB voucher. Please see the table below for the SJVAPCD HVIP Plus-up voucher amounts. If you have additional questions, please refer to the Year 3 HVIP Implementation Manual and the Frequently Asked Questions section of this site, or call 888-457-HVIP.
* Note: Hino vehicles are the only vehicles in the HVIP which do not qualify for the SJV plus-up funding since their incremental cost is already covered completely by the HVIP.
