About HVIP's Multiple Funding Sources

Funding for HVIP 11 is provided by The California Air Resources Board (ARB) and the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). Additional sources may contribute to the funds in the future. When a funding pot reaches zero or less, you will see a minus sign in front of the amount. For example, FY10 ARB -$275,598 means that the Fiscal Year 2010 ARB Fund is $275,598 under zero. However, as long as voucher requests are being accepted, vouchers may still be available. A first-come, first-served wait list will be made available for Dealers requesting vouchers.

Please note that vouchers requested from various funding sources may have specific requirements. Please carefully read the Terms and Conditions for voucher request and redemption, or refer to the 2011 HVIP Implementation Manual and the 2010 HVIP Implementation Manual. If you have additional questions, please read the Frequently Asked Questions section of this site, or call 888-457-HVIP.

About California Air Resources Board (ARB) Funding

ARB's HVIP program was launched in February 2010, with about $19 million available for eligible hybrid vehicles that operate within California. Please note, FY10 ARB vouchers must be redeemed by September 30, 2011.

In 2011, ARB renewed its funding commitment with an additional $18 million and expanded the program to include electric vehicles. To see which vehicles qualify, visit Eligible Vehicles [LINK to eligible vehicles] section of this site. Please carefully read the Terms and Conditions for voucher request and redemption, or refer to the 2011 HVIP Draft Implementation Manual and the 2010 HVIP Implementation Manual. If you have additional questions, please read the Frequently Asked Questions section of this site, or call 888-457-HVIP.

About South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Funding

South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) contributed to the 2011 HVIP funding with a $1.4 million fund, designated for vehicles which are used in the South Coast's Air District. Vouchers requested from the SCAQMD funds are only available for vehicles that operate within the SCAQMD region. Please carefully read the Terms and Conditions for voucher request and redemption, or refer to the 2011 HVIP Draft Implementation Manual. If you have additional questions, please read the Frequently Asked Questions section of this site, or call 888-457-HVIP.
